The claim deadline was 11:59pm PDT on 7 October 2026 and it has passed. New claims are no longer possible. If you did claim the credit, it is on your account until 4 November 2026, after which any unused balance disappears and cloud sessions go back to counting against your plan's normal limits.
The rest of this page is kept as a record of what the offer was, and because the spending rules below still apply to anyone holding a balance.
What the credit is
On 23 September 2026 Anthropic took Claude Code cloud sessions out of research preview. A cloud session runs in Anthropic's own environment instead of on your machine, so you can close your laptop and come back to a pull request to review.
To get people to try it, Anthropic is giving existing subscribers a one-off promotional credit: $250 on Max and $100 on Pro. It sits on top of your normal plan limits rather than coming out of them.
It is limited to individual Pro and Max subscribers whose subscription was active on 23 September 2026. Team and Enterprise plans are not included.
How it was claimed
While it was open there were two routes, and they did the same thing:
- Open Claude Code and run
/claim-credit. - Or open Anthropic's claim link while signed in — in the desktop app the offer also appears as a Claim credit button.
Either way you need a GitHub account connected, because cloud sessions work on GitHub repositories. There is no promo code to type: once claimed, the credit is applied automatically the moment a cloud session starts.
The two dates
| What | When |
|---|---|
| Claim the credit by | 11:59pm PDT, 7 October 2026 |
| Unused credit expires | 4 November 2026 |
The first date has passed. The second has not: a claimed balance is still live until 4 November, after which whatever is left disappears.
What it does not cover
This is the part worth reading twice. The credit pays for cloud sessions only. It does not cover:
- Claude Code running locally on your own machine
- The Claude chat app
- The Claude API
- Projects and Routines
So if your whole workflow is local Claude Code, claiming the credit costs you nothing but it will not reduce a single bill unless you actually move some work into a cloud session.

What Fynl.io is, and where it fits
Fynl.io is one portal a small business runs itself on, instead of five subscriptions that do not talk to each other.
The AI runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT API key. You keep the key, you pay the model provider directly, and there is no markup on top of it. There is no SMS or phone calling yet, and we would rather say so than let you find out later.
Credits with a deadline are the same problem as a lead with a follow-up date — easy to claim, easy to forget, gone if nobody chases it. Fynl.io is where that chase lives for the rest of your business: the enquiry, the quote and the reminder in one place, running on your own Claude or ChatGPT API key.
